SMS/Text Messaging & Communications

We may use your phone number to send you SMS/text messages related to your use of the Services. This can include:

- Reservation confirmations, reminders, updates, and changes

- Important information about your vehicle pickup, return, or charges

- Account notifications, support messages, and security alerts

- Occasional promotional or marketing messages, where permitted by law

We use third-party providers, including Twilio, to deliver these messages. Twilio processes your phone number and message content on our behalf in order to send and receive SMS/text messages. Twilio acts as a service provider/processor and is contractually restricted from using your information for its own purposes.

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in (for example, by submitting a form that includes consent language, checking a consent box, or replying with a keyword where applicable), you consent to receive text messages from us at the number you provided. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. Your consent to receive text messages is not a condition of renting a vehicle or making a purchase, where prohibited by law.

You can opt out of receiving promotional text messages at any time by replying “STOP” to any SMS we send you, or by contacting us using the details in the Contact section of this Privacy Policy. After you opt out, we may still send you transactional or service messages where permitted by law (for example, messages about an active reservation, billing issues, or fraud/security alerts).

We may retain SMS logs (such as send/receive timestamps, phone numbers, and message status) for a period of time reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and compliance obligations.
